Creative Writing Journal entries
Suspenseful Short Stories:
1. Nov 3: You encounter a boggart which transforms into your greatest fear. Describe the encounter.
2. Nov 5: Someone is following you. Or you are following someone. What happens?
3. Nov 7: "Listen, I'm got something to tell you." Continue the story.
4. Nov 14: Use the image as inspiration.
5. Nov 17: Describe the same location twice. One should feel positive. One should feel negative.
6. Nov 19: Choose a piece of music and try to match your sentences with the tempo. Short and fast or long and slow.
7. Nov 21: Use longer, peaceful sentences to describe a dream. Use shorter, tense sentences for a nightmare.
8. Nov 24: Begin at the end and use a flashback.
9. Nov 26: Reveal something to the reader at the beginning. Make sure a character doesn't know.
10. Dec 1: Free Write. Practice using all suspense techniques. ​

9. Oct 10: Which character would you want to meet from the story? What would you talk about?
10. Oct 15: How do you feel about Animal Farm? Write a book review.
